The Coralville 4thFEST Committee is proud to announce the entertainment for the
2007 July 3rd concert: Funk Daddies and Grand Funk Railroad (pictured below).

The free concert in S.T. Morrison Park begins with Funk Daddies at 6 pm and
Grand Funk Railroad at 8 pm on July 3. Grand Funk Railroad is the top-selling
American rock group of the 1970s and is known as "The American Band." This
high-energy five-piece group includes original founding members Don Brewer and
Mel Schacher. They are joined by Max Carl, Bruce Kulick, and Tim Cashion.
Grand Funk laid the groundwork for such bands as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen
and Bon Jovi with its signature hard driving sound, soulful vocals, muscular
instrumentation and forceful pop melodies. Their hits include We're an American
Band, I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home, Locomotion, and Some Kind Of Wonderful.
FunkDaddies is a funk/soul/R & B band with the purpose of bringing the best
funky dance music to the Midwest, performed by highly accomplished musicians.
Inspired by Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, and all the great Motown artists,
FunkDaddies brings its own irresistible, high-energy sound and first-class stage
show to audiences everywhere. FunkDaddies features its own original style of
funk, as well as classic hits by Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, Stevie Wonder,
Jeffrey Osborne, James Brown, Tower of Power, Santana, and Earth Wind & Fire.
