A native of St. Paul, MN, Larry has been playing the bass for forty years. His first live paid "gig" was at the age of 10, playing with one of his favorite guitar players, "his brother, Buster" in groups, The Proffitts and Liberty Street. Without Buster getting him started, there would be no FunkDaddy Weldon. A veteran who has toured the USA and Canada, Larry has played with The Fabulous Flippers, a show band and favorite throughout the Midwest in the late '60's and early '70's. He has also played with numerous bands in the Twin Cities and Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, IA areas. Currently, Larry also plays in Jasmine. Going back to the early '70's, Larry played with the group, The Mystic Evolution, which shared the stage with national acts Grand Funk Railroad and The Guess Who. Larry's music influences have been Funk, R & B, and everything in between. Larry was married to his wife, Bonnie, for 33 years. They have two sons, Eric and Matt.
